British Security Technologies: Home and Business Security Specialists since 1991

Experts don’t really know when things will return to “normal.”

If you’re not planning on closing your business for good, there are a few things you can do to ensure its safety until the day you can be back inside of it.

Let’s go over a few of the things you can do to keep things as safe as possible.

Install an Intruder Alarm System...

With your business empty, there is a likelihood of intrusion. An intruder alarm system will provide a loud external deterrent and notify us if there’s a breach of security, you will also be notified via a smart app on your phone and automatically receive camera pictures if CCTV is installed . Our professional monitoring station operates 24/7, we are always ready to take action when alerts from your property reach us. Upon receiving a single alarm notification our operators will call your nominated keyholders. Should the alarm be triggered by a 2nd detector you will receive automatic level one police response (subject to NPCC rules). Our intruder alarm systems can include both perimeter and movement detection to ensure that alarms are activated before entry.

We are currently able to offer free surveys via Zoom / Google links. During our free security survey, we will point out vulnerable areas at your business and give you the best direction on how to stay protected. We can then produce a written quote and specification for your consideration.

Have Cameras Installed...

Another great addition to your business security is high quality and fully functioning cameras and CCTV system. At British Security Technologies we have the options for self-monitored and professionally monitored cameras. We can integrate your camera system with your intruder alarm system to provide instant visual and two-way audio link to your empty premises from the same smart app as your intruder alarm system for verification.

Self-monitored camera systems are great way to stay on top of your business while it is empty. We can set up personalised alerts sent straight to your phone if motion is captured during any unexpected time. With our cameras, you’re able to check in on your business at any time, even if you’re home. With just a few clicks, you can log in and see what’s happening.

Ideally, have the cameras well placed so that if someone comes into the business who is not part of the staff, you’ll be able to detect who it is or what they’re doing. During your security survey, we will discuss the best places to have cameras installed.

Cameras are also important for future prosecution if necessary. With camera video storage, you can see what the person did when on the premises, and what they took or tampered with. This can be invaluable in a court of law, and for helping you ensure that you have what’s owed to your business returned.

Ensure Your existing Security System Works

You may have a security system installed that is old or faulty. Until now, your security system may not have been your highest priority. During these unique times, you need to take your security system seriously.

At British Security Technologies, we offer a service / repair agreement on all systems. Should your system become faulty, our service professionals are available to help. Along with service repair, we also provide annual inspections. If you have not had your equipment inspected recently, now is a great time to do so.

We have technicians able to help you any time of the day or night. This offers your business true peace of mind. You never have to wonder who you can call when repairs are needed. We are here and ready to help.
